One of the first destinations many visitors to the city visit is Victoria Harbour with its central position and abundance of entertainment options. The harbour is lit up spectacularly at night time and is also home to the Symphony of Lights, a brilliant permanent light and sound show using choreographed lasers and fireworks. The Harbour can be seen brilliantly from another of the city's famous landmarks, Victoria Peak; an excellent spot also great for viewing the vast size of the city. One of the most popular tourist attractions in Hong Kong is Ocean Park, combining an oceanarium, theme park and aquarium and seeing up to 5 million visitors a year. The park also has 19 rides including two rollercoasters and one water ride, making for an excellent day trip for the whole family. The city's other major theme park is Hong Kong Disneyland on Lantau Island. Both of these attractions are easy to visit using the city's excellence transport options.
One of the main shopping districts in Hong Kong is Soho, with many familiar western companies operating alongside more traditional Chinese shops and restaurants. The area really is fantastic for its blend of old and new and has been signposted with 16 points of historical interest throughout the area.All in all, Hong Kong is an intriguing metropolis combining modern architecture and entertainment with historical culture.
